AN EXCITING ADDITION TO THE DELIVERY OF NURSING CARE
It is Monday morning a few years into the future. You are a practice nurse in a busy health practice. You do have a case load of clients you care for but because of your professional utilization of technology, these clients are mainly cared for in their own homes.
I promised an update on conference speakers as soon as I was able to.
GREAT NEWS!!! We have managed to persuade Stewart Ferguson and John Kokesh from the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, based in Anchorage, Alaska, to not only be one of our keynote speakers but to also provide a two hour workshop on the project.
In September I am being supported by HINZ to attend the Medical
Informatics conference in Cape town, South Africa. While it is a medical
informatics conference it will be a great opportunity to discover what
telenursing projects nurses are involved with both nationally and
internationally. How they are managing these, what the focus is, what
outcomes are expected, how they are funded and who are they working with
e.g. other nurses or other health professionals such as doctors,
physiotherapists.
